Eline Schellekens (Rotterdam, the Netherlands) is a visual artist whose practice centers around a dynamic combination of text and image. Working from a very personal point of view, her work frequently features a central drive of simplicity. She engages in various expressions such as photography, film, poetry, coding, performance and installations. Always with a humorous twist. Her work is a wink to society.
Growing up between Rotterdam and Spain, Eline developed the languages of her tongue. In her work as a writer, humor predominates, often with a certain emotion as the theme. Within poetry, she tries to reflect on herself and the environment around her. She continues to stay fascinated by the unusual and the ordinary.
Eline is currently studying Lifestyle Transformation Design (visual anthropology) at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
