Eline Schellekens (1999) is a hybrid audio-visual artist, currently based in Amsterdam, fascinated by the boundary between fiction and reality.
In her work, she explores the elasticity of “the truth” by interweaving personal histories and collective memories.
She sees beauty in reconstructing her own life and considers filmmaking not as a form of recording, but as a form of reconstruction: a way to understand, reinterpret, and connect. She strives to make films that not only inform, but also alienate, question, and touch. Her ambition is to continue to push the boundaries of the genre, and find new forms for her personal perspective and truths.
