‘JUST IN CASE’ is a visual and sonic research of the reconstruction of the memory of an encounter. The research stages scenes of an encounter between two people, rooted in reality, producing a dreamy uncertainty about what is really happening. The only way to grasp the truth of this encounter, is to reconstruct the coincidence.
It’s a thin line between the different perceptions of a memory shared by two people and the lack of remembering — therefore, my question has arisen: how do you reconstruct an encounter?
The cassette disc shows the reconstruction, and the passage of time from encounter to the end of a relationship between two people. The installation is accompanied by a graphical video as meditation guidance to make the reconstruction.
